Quicksilver Clouds CD 2004

Throes Of Dawn's 4th album was recorded and mixed between August and November 2004 at Sonic Pump Studios, Helsinki, Finland. 10 songs were recorded, and 9 of them ended up on "Quicksilver Clouds".

Binding of the Spirit CD 2000

Throes Of Dawn's third full lenght was recorded and mixed in August and December 1999 as the second album at Tico- Tico studio, Kemi, Finland. Almost 70 minutes, 11 songs were recorded, and 8 of them(~46 minutes) ended up on the final product. The music has developed even more mature and melodic from "Dreams.." also introducing some new elements in their dark metal style, with absolutely great sounds. Dreams of the Black Earth CD 1998

The second full- lenght CD was recorded at the legendary TICO TICO STUDIO in August 1997 and mixed at the same place in January '97. 10 new songs were recorded, but only eight of them ended up on the album. The album was engineered and partly produced by Ahti Kortelainen with Throes Of Dawn. A taster from the upcoming album was released as a MCD called "the Blackened Rainbow". It also contained three bonus songs from Woodcut's other signings: ENOCHIAN CRESCENT, ALGHAZANTH and RAVENDUSK. "Dreams of the Black Earth" was released in Finland by WOODCUT RECORDS in the end of 1998 and worldwide in January - April 1999. The Blackened Rainbow CDS 1998

The new Throes Of Dawn material was heard in a single format, together with three other Woodcut signings including Alghazanth, Ravendusk and Enochian Crescent. "The Blackened Rainbow" from the "Dreams Of the Black Earth"- album was released in October 1998. This limited edition is not available in every country.

Pakkasherra CD 1997

Throes f Dawn's debut album was recorded and mixed in eight days at Egotrip Studio (24 ADAT tracks) in the middle of Finland in July 1996. Twelve songs were recorded, and ten of them ended on "Pakkasherra". Mr. Orre, the studio engineer was quite unfamiliar in recording metal music, so the sound quality could have been better. Songs called "Kaamos" and "At the Moonrise" were never published, although "Kaamos" was remixed at Tico- Tico Studio in December '97. Shortly after the studio session guitarrist Jani joined the army for 11 months. "Pakkasherra" was finally released in April 1997 by Woodcut Records. Tracks on "Pakkasherra":

Promo 1996 MC 1996

After signing a two album deal with Woodcut Records, Throes Of Dawn recorded a four- track promo tape; "Pakkasherra", promoting their upcoming debut album also labeled as "Pakkasherra". The recordings were done in two sessions, at the familiar Welmu Studios in July and December of 1995. 7 new songs were recorded, and 4 of them were actually released as a promo tape. The tape was released in Spring 1996 by Woodcut Records. Lots of positive feedback was given by the finnish underground scene. However, the promotional side of this release was small, as the actual debut CD was utterly delayed because of the various problems with the artwork.

With the Northern Wind demo MC 1994

After ten months of hard practising, Throes Of Dawn4s first release was recorded in Autumn 1994 at the local Welmu 8-track studio. Three sogns were recorded, sounding original and melodic black/death metal compared to the other finnish bands at the time. First song of the demo '94, "Autumn Winds", appears renewed on the debut CD "Pakkasherra" . Every 200 copies of the release were sold out in two months. With this release Throes Of Dawn obtained a deal with the local Woodcut Records.
