27.01.2011 Osa varastetuista soittimista löytynyt!
Huomattava osa Throes of Dawnin treenikämpältä 10–12.1.2011 varastetuista soittotavaroista on löytynyt. Tarkempia yksityiskohtia ei voida tutkinnallisten syiden vuoksi paljastaa, sillä varkaiden lisäksi osa tavaroista on edelleen kateissa.
Varkaiden matkassa on edelleen mm. tunnearvoltaan korvaamaton Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass, Gibson SG -kitara ja Martin Mania -öljyprojektoreita. Varastettujen tavaroiden lista ja tunnistamista helpottavia valokuvia on päivitetty yhtyeen perustamalle Facebook-sivulle.

13.01.2011 MURTOVARKAAT ISKIVÄT THROES OF DAWNIN TREENIKÄMPÄLLE
Throes Of Dawn -yhtyeen treenikämpälle Helsingin Vallilassa on murtauduttu 10-12.1.2011. Varkaiden matkaan lähti iso osa bändin soittimista ja tarvikkeista, joista osa on tunnearvoltaan täysin korvaamattomia tai täysin uniikkeja malleja. Varastettujen tavaroiden rahallinen arvo nousee yli 10 000 euroon.
Helsingin poliisilaitoksen omaisuusrikosyksikkö tutkii tapausta. Poliisi ja Throes Of Dawn ovat kiitollisia kaikista vinkeistä, jotka saattavat johtaa varkaiden kiinnisaamiseen ja tavaroiden löytymiseen.

12.01.2011 Stolen goods
Between 10.1.-12.1. someone has broken into our training facilities and stolen most of our music equipment. Luckily not everything was taken. Among the stolen goods are things of both financial and tremendous sentimental value, for instance the Marshall JCM800 with which the first 3 ToD albums were recorded is now gone. We are updating a list of all stolen goods in a Facebook page created solely for this purpose.
Throes of Dawn appreciates all efforts in recovering the equipment!

Great feedback for The Great Fleet of Echoes - finnish Inferno-magazine chose the album as the 2nd best finnish album of 2010! Also, Spanish Friedhof Magazine ranks The Great Fleet of Echoes as 2010's Top 10 best albums.

09.07.2010 Throes Of Dawn announces a new member
Throes Of Dawn announces a new addition to the line up. Keyboardist Henri Andersson joined the band as the sixth permanent member in Hard Rock Laager festival in Estonia. Mr. Andersson has been playing live with the band since the beginning of 2010 when the band started touring after the release of our fifth full length album "The Great Fleet of Echoes", and fits the band perfectly. All members of Throes Of Dawn welcome Henri and are looking forward to both future liveshows and recording a new album with him.

Throes of Dawn performs a special liveshow @ Graveyard Party tomorrow 1.5. in Gloria Helsinki. The band will play the latest album "The Great Fleet of Echoes" in it´s entirety from start to finish!

28.04.2010 TOD live at Nummirock festival!
It´s been a while since the last news update! Album release has kept us very busy with the live shows and the many interviews. "The Great Fleet of Echoes" has received a very positive feedback from the press and the fans. It sure feels great!
Firebox has made a new TOD t-shirt, and it can be purchased through this link. Or you can get one from the merchandise desk at our liveshows.
We are proud to perform live at the legendary Nummirock Festival at 26.6. in Kauhajoki. There are also other great and special shows coming up in the near future. We are still looking for opportunities to perform in Central Europe, so all the promoters and agencies out there, please take contact.
The Double gatefold LP has been put on hold due to some unexpected problems with the printing company. Firebox is currently looking for another supplier, but it may take some time... We´ll keep you posted.

06.01.2010 The Great Fleet of Echoes release date!
We have settled a release date for our fifth album "The Great Fleet of Echoes". The album will be released 19th of February in the Finnish Metal Expo. www.fme.fi
We are also very pleased to announce that the album is released both as a digipack CD and a 12" double vinyl lp with a 24-bit mastering and two bonus songs.
It took a lot of time, but we are happy with the outcome. "The Great Fleet of Echoes" is a clear expansion in the bands songwriting. Showing more versatile, progressive and melodic approach into the gloom and melancholy our music reflects. A Firm and logical step forward.

17.09.2009 Throes Of Dawn signs a deal with Firebox Records
Now it´s OFFICIAL!
Throes Of Dawn has signed a recording contract with the Finnish Firebox Records. Firebox is due to release the upcoming fifth Throes Of Dawn album in January 2010.
The upcoming album is titled "The Great Fleet of Echoes" and will be released both in CD and LP formats.
It has been a long and dark year, but now it seems that all the hard work really pays off. We are very happy with the contract and look forward to the future collaboration with Firebox Records.

31.12.2008 Wings of doom festival in Russia
The year 2008 has now passed and it´s about time to put up some info of what´s happening in the TOD camp.
Firstly, I am glad to announce you that Throes Of Dawn will perform live in Russia at the Wings of Doom festival. The shows will be held at Moscow and St. Petersburg on 14. and 15. of March. More details about the event will be added here when we get them.
31.12.2008 Album update
Finally, I am pleased to tell you that the recordings of the fifth album have been finished on most parts and the sound engineer will start the mixing process at the very beginning of January.
As you can guess, the recording of this album has not been an easy task. It has required the patience of a dead animal to pull this thing through. But I can guarantee you it has been well worth all the time and trouble. This album is going to be the ultimate Throes Of Dawn album, our magnum opus.
We are well behind the schedules and plans, and I´m not going to give you any release date because it will propably not hold anyway, but the most important thing is that we are actually making progress and all the work will be over very soon.

12.11.2007 Recordings, live shows, re-releases!
Throes of dawn is making a great progress with the recordings with more than half of the material already done!
Drums, bass and lead guitars are "in the can", next in line are the synths, acoustic and additional guitars and last but not least, are the vocals. We're expecting for the record to be out spring 2008, so just wait!
In April 2008 ToD will perform a show in Germany. More info will be added to the pages later.

11.09.2007 Live shows and recordings!
At last! Time for an update!
Throes Of Dawn has played two very successful live shows in the Selviytyjät private metal fest, and in Turku with Fall of the Leafe and Forgotten Tomb.
We have been concentrating so much on the upcoming recordings that we didn’t book any shows for the summer time. And now it felt just great to perform live with such great bands. We would like to thank our fans and audiences on both shows. It was magical.
Unfortunately we are not going to play any more shows during this autumn because we are finally entering a studio to record our fifth album! The recordings are due to start in the beginning of October with the help of Tero “Max” Kostermaa, the same studio engineer who recorded and mixed Quicksilver Clouds.

10.09.2007 Binding of the Spirit re-issue
Avantgarde music has announced that it´s going to re-issue Throes Of Dawn´s third album, Binding of the Spirit in a jewelcase format. This is great news, since this album has been long out of print.

Throes Of Dawn is going to hit the stage on a two day metal
event: ZERO THE HERO in Lohja.
Throes Of Dawn´s performance has been booked for saturday 14.4. together with TOTAL DEVASTATION. Needless to say, this is a great opportunity for all our fans to hear the new Throes Of Dawn material live!

02.08.2006 Test recordings
Finally time for a news update! We are sorry for the long period of silence in the news section. But worry not. Things are happening underneath the stale surface! We made a firm decision earlier this year to dedicate this year solely to song writing. We have been busy testing and experimenting with the new material. A lot of big things has happened in our personal lives as well. We have also purchased new recording gear and other instruments in order to widen the sound spectrum of the band.
The final round of test recordings for the new songs is now ongoing and the material seems to be very promising! The music is now even more atmospheric and organic. The music is flowing through the speakers like a soundtrack to a dream.
No titles to be revealed yet, but it seems that we now have enough material to start the recordings of the full-length album later this year. So, stay tuned for more detailed information!
21.12.2005 Reissues in January 2006
Avantgarde Music is taking reissues of Throes Of Dawn's two latest albums, Binding of the Spirit and Quicksilver Clouds. Binding of the Spirit sold out many repressings back in 2000, and has been unavailable for some years now. Also our latest album, Quicksilver Clouds, has been sold out for a while.
Soon both albums will be available in selected record stores throughout Europe.

The old guestbook has been replaced with a web forum. Don't hesitate to write a line or two there! Also, some great Progpower-pics taken by Renée van der Ster and Nico Wobben have been added to the Pictures-section.
01.10.2005 Live shows
Throes Of Dawn will be playing some gigs in December. The band is warming up for Anathema in Nosturi, Helsinki on 15th of December. Also, ToD is performing live with Enochian Crescent & Gloomy Grim on new year's eve. Both of these shows varies from a normal ToD set, so be there! Also, new live pictures have been added to the pictures-page.
01.05.2005 Inferno DVD, shirts
Finnish Inferno magazine just released a metal video dvd compilation. This release contains 30 videos from bands like Hypocrisy, Mortiis, Cult Of Luna, Deathbound just to name a few.
Throes Of Dawn is participating on this release with "Vertigo" video, directed by Henri Andersson.

01.04.2005 USA release, Inferno DVD, gigs
Magick records, a sublabel of the notorious Cleopatra records, has released "Quicksilver Clouds" in the US. This is a special CD release with new artwork. The "Vertigo"-video has also been included into this US-version.
Throes Of Dawn's video clip Vertigo is also included on upcoming Inferno DVD compilation. The release date is set to 18.5.2005. More details at www.inferno.fi.
New live date has also been announced, ToD will perform in Oulu Finland at Q-stock preparty club (28.7.2005), Bar 45.
01.03.2005 European show dates confirmed

Throes Of Dawn´s Vertigo-video will be shown on Music Television Poland and on Polish VIVA. Also, www.detonator.tv will broadcast the clip every day in January, and it will be included on Terrorizer Magazine´s program on the same channel in February.

Throes of dawn's latest music video Vertigo has been taken into the repertoire of the german tv-channel Viva. Vertigo's German premiere is on Sunday the 5th of December in a program called Hell's kitchen.
ToD will be playing 3 live shows in January 2005.
